e-WV: The West Virginia Encyclopedia

Developed by the West Virginia Humanities Council, e-WV is an interactive site showcasing West Virginia’s history, culture, and people. It is thoroughly innovative, enhanced with audio and video, hundreds of illustrations, maps, time lines, and other features. e-WV is free and available to anyone with access to a computer and Internet connection. It includes more than 2,000 articles, thousands of points available in the interactive maps, 10,000 keywords to drive the search process, and more than 12,000 items in the master time line.

Save money and time, get a library card!

An easy way to help stretch your dollar during this tough economy is to get a library card. Collections at the Reference Library contain a wide array of items including:

  • Audio books are now available in serveral formats including, CD, cassette tapes, MP3 CD, and downloadable titles for your MP3 or iPod player.
  • Documentary, foreign, travel, and other film genres available on DVD and VHS.
  • Online databases with thousands of articles, book reviews, newspaper clippings, and more available in the library, at home, or at the office.
